About the Instructor

Chelsea Celotto is the owner and instructor at Pole Play Fitness Studio.

Chelsea began gymnastics lessons when she was five. She quickly advanced to the girl’s competitive team until the age of twelve, and then joined her high school team for six years, where she became team caption and MVP before graduating. During college she instructed lessons for eight years at a local gymnasium. There she became the competitive girl’s team coach and was trained for several years by Olympic gymnasts in coaching and spotting techniques at Woodward Gymnastics Camp in Pennsylvania.

Presently, Chelsea holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Education and is a New York State certified teacher with six years elementary experience. Prior to teaching, Chelsea danced for ten years both locally and in Las Vegas.

In August 2005, Chelsea resigned from her teaching position to open Pole Play, Inc., Buffalo’s first pole dancing fitness studio.

In February 2006 Chelsea formed the contemporary burlesque dance troupe, Eye Candy. See Burlesque page for more information!

In November 2007 Chelsea trained with Christabel Zamore (Hoopgirl) in Los Angeles, CA to become a certified Hoop Dance instructor. After months of developing her own program and sharpening her skills, Chelsea began teaching Hoop Dance classes in January 2008.

Also January 2008 Chelsea began teaching Burlesque Dance classes. Using original choreography and past exotic and burlesque dance experience, Chelsea has integrated various styles of dance into a sexy class that incorporates cardio vascular endurance and a muscle toning workout.

“I came to Pole Play for a little bit of fun and variation in my workout. Well, I had a lot of fun and a great strengthening workout. What I didn’t expect was the confidence I gained in myself and the ability to further accept myself as I am. Thank you to Pole Play. I no longer just say, “Dance as if no one is watching,’ I truly live the words.”

“After my first class, I went home thinking, “Pole work kicked my butt.” Now I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish. Pole Play kicks ass!”

Hi Chelsea! The workshop on Friday was a lot of fun! I can't tell you how much I’m enjoying the classes, and it doesn't even matter that I don't know what I’m doing! I laugh and feel girly and relaxed... and if I come out of this with a greater self-confidence it doesn't even matter to me if I master the spins!! Although, it does matter, which is why I’m going to persevere! Anyway, I’m happy that there is a class out there that is just for me! It’s one of the few kinds of gym classes that I’ve ever signed up for where I didn't feel inferior or feel like I didn't belong! Thanks to you!

Thanks, Chelsea! Now I'm telling my friends to throw away all their self help books and join me at Pole Play. It is the answer to gaining real self confidence, self esteem and a sensational total fitness
workout.

Hey there Chels! I had to email you and tell you how much fun I had last night. I was so nervous on my way to the studio and when I left I couldn't take the smile off of my face. You are an incredibly talented instructor! I think my mouth was hanging open when you were doing your routine. It was AWESOME!!! I can't wait until next week.

The other thing that I wanted to say was that I'm really proud of you. You have created a place where people can experience something outside their comfort zone and make it a comfort. You were so kind, gentle, clear, understanding and loving during the whole experience. Thank you for that. You are an inspiration.

Thanks again Chels!
