Want a fun way to work out and literally shed pounds off your body? Than try the Hoop Dance class!

For the Non-Hooper -

If you were never able to keep a hula hoop up on your waist we'll have you hooping your first class. The trick is using adult sized, weighted hula hoops, and a little simple instruction and practice. Once you learn to hula hoop, you will learn the following:

For the Hooper -

You will be taught multiple tricks with your hula hoop, hooping on the neck, chest, arms, elbows, hands, waist, hips & bum, thighs, knees and feet for an all over body workout. Once you have become skilled with the tricks learned, we put these movements to music and develop a hoop dance for an awesome cardio workout.

This class is open to men, women and teens. Please wear sneakers and workout attire to class and be sure to bring water! Hoops will be provided and also available for sale.

Cost: $100
Length:   1.5 hour

close to Sheridan Drive.

Directions from the City: Take Delaware going north into Kenmore, heading towards Sheridan Drive. The Brounshidle Post will be on the left hand side before you hit Sheridan. Look for a large brick building. Parking on both sides of the building.

Directions from the expressway: Take the 90 to the 290 and exit at Delaware Avenue (South) exit. Take Delaware into Kenmore, pass Sheridan Drive and it will be a couple blocks up on the right hand side. Parking on both sides of the building.

Hi Chelsea! The workshop on Friday was a lot of fun! I can't tell you how much I’m enjoying the classes, and it doesn't even matter that I don't know what I’m doing! I laugh and feel girly and relaxed... and if I come out of this with a greater self-confidence it doesn't even matter to me if I master the spins!! Although, it does matter, which is why I’m going to persevere! Anyway, I’m happy that there is a class out there that is just for me! It’s one of the few kinds of gym classes that I’ve ever signed up for where I didn't feel inferior or feel like I didn't belong! Thanks to you!
